About Fellowship School

 
 

Fellowship Church has offered various equipping classes since 1981. Thousands of church members have taken one or more of these classes. Completion of most of these classes has been primarily on the basis of consistent class attendance. The Certificate Level was created in the fall of 2014 to offer a higher degree of rigor and to acknowledge this rigor with “credits” towards a Christian Worker’s Certificate.The reasons that members may choose to take classes at the certificate level will vary. Some may simply enjoy a greater challenge, some may see value in working towards and receiving a Certificate and some may wish to be able to present “credentials” of qualifications for some sort of future church leadership.

Name of certificates: Christian Worker’s Certificate

Foundational Certificate  

The foundational level requires 8 classes

  • 2 from Bible category

  • 2 from Theology category;

  • 2 from Ministry Skill or Spiritual Formation category;

  • 2 more from any category.

Advanced Certificates

A member may receive advanced certificates in any and all categories listed in the table.

  • 4 more classes in one category

  • Independent study classes or transfer credits from another institution or program are possible for up to 50% of these advanced certificates upon approval by the pastors overseeing the program.

Credits for classes may be given to any who successfully complete one. However, to receive one of the Certificates, one must be a member of Fellowship Church. Membership is evidenced by being an active member of one of our homegroups and regularly attending Sunday mornings.

Classes Offered

Credits for Classes

All classes are equal. Successful completion of a class is one credit towards the Certificate. Performance measures are established by class teacher (test, paper, assignments completed) with approval by Pastors. Passing grade for all classes is 80.

Charges for Classes

For all class members = Textbook cost (if any) + printing cost ($5 typical) For credit towards a certificate = Additional program admin cost $15 per class.
